First Annual  4th - 8th Grade Poetry Contest Our first annual poetry contest was a great success.  35 poems were received.  Our Young Adult librarian Samantha Farruggia, and our Children's librarian, Meb Ingold have produced a booklet of all the poems.  You can pick up a copy at the Library. 12:09:48 PM    comments? [] La Grange Park Announces Arbor Day Activities To celebrate Arbor Day, the Village of La Grange Park is hosting a Tree Planting Ceremony on Arbor Day, Friday, April 25 at 12:30 p.m. The tree will be planted in Memorial Park on the west side of Sherwood Road between Oak and Woodlawn Avenues. The variety of tree to be planted will be determined by resident ballots cast in support of their favorite type of tree. The tree with the most votes will be planted during the ceremony. Ballots are available in the Spring edition of the Village newsletter, “Rose Clippings,” or residents can click HERE and print out and return the ballot.
