A Thoughtful Way to RememberA thoughtful way to remember someone special is to give a gift in that person’s name to the library. Whether as a memorial or a gift to celebrate an important event in someone’s life, your gift to the La Grange Park Public Library will keep on giving. Not only will it be a lasting tribute, but it will benefit the people of the community. You may determine how you would like your contribution to be used. Books, audiovisual materials, furniture, and equipment are only a few of the possibilities. Another way to honor a relative or friend is by making a donation to the library’s building fund or Nadines’ Festival of the Arts. If you would like your donation to be used for a book, you may suggest specific titles or subject areas of special interest to the person being honored. A bookplate will be placed in each book giving the name of the person in whose honor or memory the book is being given, and the name of the donor, if so desired. Gifts to the La Grange Park Public Library are tax deductible, and you will be sent an acknowledgment of your gift The library also sends an announcement to the person(s) you wish to be informed. A bequest is yet another way to give to your library. Making a bequest in your will gives you the opportunity to participate in the future of your library. It is suggested you consult your attorney on this matter. If you have any questions pertaining to memorials and gifts, contact the library director or library board member.
