Volunteer @ the Library

You will be part of a volunteer force that varies between 28 and 36 people.

Volunteers do everything from shelf reading to delivering books to the home-bound, with hundreds of jobs in between.

We expect you to make a commitment of at lease two hours per week. In many cases we prepare jobs for you and we rely upon your being here at the time agreed upon.

We ask you to wear your badge while volunteering and that you carefully record your time in your folder each time you come in.

To Show Our Appreciation

• Volunteers may purchase books at a discount.
• Volunteers are exempt from paying over-due fines.
• Volunteers are permitted use of the copiers.
• Volunteers are encouraged to use the Staff Lounge.
• Volunteers are welcome to partake of any refreshments provided for the staff.
• Volunteers are invited to the staff Christmas Potluck.
• Volunteers are honored each Spring with a catered luncheon.
