Margaret, one of our Children’s Librarians, wrote a review of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

Wow! Get ready for this one! Hazel is a 16 year old dealing with a terminal cancer diagnosis. After her mother suggests a cancer support group, she develops a relationship with the charismatic Augustus Waters that makes her shortened life worth enjoying. I can’t say enough about the spirit of this story. It is creative and inspiring while heart-wrenching and boldly real. Along with that, it is a powerful story about love and loss.
“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.”
