Short ‘n’ Sweet Book Club

Want to join a book club but don’t have time to read the books? Do you enjoy short stories and desserts? Either way, the Short ‘n’ Sweet Book Club is the place for you. Every month we’ll be discussing a classic short story while enjoying a tasty treat inspired by the text.

July’s Short: The Invasion from Outer Space by Steven Millhauser – a flash-length NY Times entry from 2009 about an alien invasion that doesn’t quite live up to the hype.

July’s Sweet: Serradura – Also known as “sawdust pudding”; a Portuguese no-bake dessert made from crumbled golden cookies layered with vanilla cream.
