Short ‘n’ Sweet Book Club
Want to join a book club but don’t have time to read the books? Do you enjoy short stories and desserts? Either way, the Short ‘n’ Sweet Book Club is the place for you. Every month we’ll be discussing a classic short story while enjoying a tasty treat inspired by the text.
October’s Short: The Thirteenth Floor by Frank Gruber – a classic pulp-horror story first published in the January 1949 issue of Weird Tales; and the perfect way to bring the spooky season into full swing for those of us still haunted by the ghost of Marshall Field’s.
October’s Sweet: Frango Mint Pie – mint chocolate cream pie featuring those fancy Frango confections.
The stories can be read online or printed for you at the library from this link.
